Selling vs. Referring
Everybody sells. If you go to a new restaurant in town, and the food is great, you tell all your friends and they go. That's referring. Referring is selling without getting paid! If you see a great new movie, you refer all your friends and they go. You didn't get paid for the sale. You are selling the great product for the company, but the compensation plan sucks! You are happy to refer, without getting paid, because you hate to sell!
What if you could refer, without selling, AND get paid?
BUT, what happens when you join that great new program, with the great new products? Do you refer all your friends? Do you call them up and tell them about this great new money making company you just joined? If you DID call them, did you tell them about the products, or did you tell them about the compensation plan? Let's say they liked the products. Three months later, after you sold some products, and the company made some money, let me ask, did YOU make any money? If not, then the problem is with the compensation plan.
I am on a quest to find the best money making program online. I have been researching money making opportunities for over 40 years, and have seen almost everything under the sun. There are 1000's of programs available online for making money, but 95% of the people are NOT making money! So what's the problem? Is it all a scam? Is it the products, OR is the real problem just poorly designed compensation plans? 95% of the programs out there are designed to make the company money, not you!

#2. The best program would pay members on sales made, instantly, not 2 - 6 weeks down the road.
Remember, we are usually converting people with jobs (that pay every two weeks), into commission salespeople. People getting paid on a commission basis want to get paid as soon as the sale is finalized. Ask any real estate agent.
#3. The best program would have an entry level fee of around $25 to $100, which is affordable to everyone.
Most programs have low entry level options, but if you can't make money at the bottom level, how will you make money at the higher levels? New members need to be able to make money at the starter level, and then upgrade to the higher levels, after they are in profit.
#4. The best program would provide residual monthly income to it's members. Make a sale once and get paid forever, or at least as long as the person sold to remains a customer or program member. If the sale is a one time sale, with a one time commission, then one slow month would put you out of business. With the best program, even if no new members signed up one month, you would still get paid from your existing members.You could take 6 months off, and your income would still come in.

#8. The program product should also be something that appeals to the masses. Everyone would like to own a Porsche (a great product), but many more people buy a Ford. Many people like the quality $8.95 burger (a great product) at the local specialty shop, but most people eat burgers at McDonalds.Which just goes to prove that even if you are selling a quality product, can you make a living selling it? If you could sell 1 Porsche and get a $10,000 commission, OR you could sell 20 Fords, with the same effort, and only made a $1000 commission 20 times, which could you make more money with? The product quality is not the issue. The issue is which product can you make the most money with! Mass appeal wins every time.
#9. The best program would provide you with your own free website, and not charge you any admin fees. Many programs get you to sign up, and then charge you for a website, and charge monthly admin fees, and a fee for this, and a fee for that. The company makes money. What about you?
#10. The best program would give you 2 new paying members, for free, for every new member you signed up. The hardest part of building an online business is getting enough new members to keep your income increasing. ANY MLM program would be wildly successful if EVERY member signed up 1 new member every month. The membership would double every month! But that never happens. WHY????? Because most people will not make the effort to sign up new members. (That's selling!) The reward is not there. But if you were given 2 paying members for free, for every one you signed up, would that be enough incentive? (That's compensation) In addition to all the features listed above?

In most MLM programs you
get a nice commission for personally signing up new members. It is
usually a one time commission, and sometimes a monthly commission. But
you only get a very small payment for all those in your downline that
you didn't personally sign up. Most times it is in the range of
$.50 cents to $2 . So even at the two dollar level, it would take
1750 members in your downline to make $3500 a month. With the best

And you still have to sell someone on giving you a gift, so you are still in sales! One slow month and you are out of the gifting business.
Paid to surf, and cost per action programs. Paid to surf is where you are paid to go to websites, or read emails. This doesn't cost anything but your time. And it takes a LOT of time to make any serious money when you are only paid $.02 cents to $.10 cents per website viewed or email read. How many sales websites would you have to view to make $3500 a month at $.10 cents a view? How about 35,000!! How much time do you have? That would be about 48 per hour, 24 hours a day!
With cost per action, you just advertise 'free offers' and get paid by the advertiser for each person that accepts the free offer, which is not free, because they usually have to buy something to get anything free. Again, you have to continually find new people to accept the offers, because these are one time sales. If you are really good at advertising this can be profitable, but when you stop advertising, your income also stops. No residual income here.
2 x 2 cyclers. This is a form of MLM with a mini-matrix of only 6 people. You sign up 2 people who sign up 2 people. The problem is that you don't get a dime until the matrix is full, and with most people not recruiting, most of the time you must sign up all 6 people yourself, to get paid once. Then you start over. How good are you at selling?
